Attendance Matters!

Showing up to school greatly impacts a student's academic success. Families play a crucial role in ensuring that a student gets to school safely and on time daily. We understand that absences are unavoidable, such as illness or medical appointments. Please call in advance if your child will not be in school.

Principal's Corner

Welcome Back Little Eagles! I'm so excited to be starting the year together! I hope you and your families were able to enjoy some rest, relaxation, and were able to build some lasting memories together. I had an exciting Summer! I had two weddings to attend. The first wedding was my own. I am now Mrs. Boyle (or Mrs. B). The second wedding was my daughter's wedding in Colorado. My hope for this school year is that each and every student feels successful and loves coming to Columbia Elementary!! Parents/Grandparents, I would love to be able to connect with you at our Coffee Chats this year. Our first one will be September 14th from 8:15am-9am. Please join us! It's going to be an exciting year!

Medication Reminder!

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Nurse's Corner

Welcome back Little Eagles! I am so excited to be back and officially start my first FULL school year here at Columbia. I hope you all stayed healthy and were able to enjoy your time off.

PLANNING FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR:

New Medication Forms must be filled out by the parent/guardian AND provider for the upcoming 22'-23' school year. This goes for both prescription and non-prescription medications. All medication authorization forms expire at the end of each school year. You can stop in the front office to pick up a form or email me at paige.schlegel@myeagles.org and I can send one over to you.

The Columbia School District as a whole will now be implementing Individualized Health Care Plans (IHPs) for students with specialized healthcare needs. This will include those that have an allergy, diabetes, asthma, etc. Once this form is filled out, a copy will be given to the office staff, teacher, and coaches (if applicable) to ensure that ALL staff will be implementing the same care in the form of an emergency situation. I had sent the form via email at the end of the school year last year to those that require one for the 22'-23' school year. I will be sending out another email over the next couple of weeks so please keep an eye out. I will also have copies in my office and during the back to school bash if it is easier for you to pick one up there. Please let me know if you have any questions.
