It is the time of the year when we are encouraging our students to wear snow pants, boots, gloves, a hat, and a winter jacket during recess time. We want our students to be warm and safe during recess. Please talk with your child(ren) about not throwing snow at each other at school as we never know what may be in the snow and we do not want anyone hurt. Our students were able to roll big snowballs this week and many are very proud of their efforts.

Just a reminder that we have a PTA event this Saturday, January 28 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at USA Hockey. The USA U18 National Team is playing Dubuque Fighting Saints. The theme is Rock and Roll and it's at the USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, MI. I hope to see you there!

The deadline to sign up for the Competitive Edge Savings Program is fast approaching!

Kindergarten families -- be sure to sign up for this FREE savings program offered by the LPS Education Foundation by Feb. 1! This is a savings account set up through the Michigan Education Savings Program. Families do not invest a dime, but the Foundation starts the account with seed funds, which grow over the course of the student's educational career in LPS. Upon graduation from an LPS school, the student receives a check from the Foundation to assist with future college or trade school plans.

This opportunity is only for current kindergarten students.
