Elida Serves over 1,300 Meals in First Week
The cafeteria staff worked staggered shifts, (to adhere with safety measures) some starting at 7:00 am, others at 8:00 and another shift beginning at 9:30, all to prepare the food, pack the bags, then load, distribute, and return and do paperwork. Teachers and administrators volunteered to help with distribution at both locations, Lima Community Church near the Axis Bldg., and Temple Christian School/Lima Baptist Temple.
In all, on Monday and Wednesday we distributed 509 bags, (1,345 meals) to families.
" We provide for the student's well-being, and that the nutrition we provide helps keep their minds fueled." It's a reminder that yes, we are "essential workers."
Families Express Gratitude
Families made cards and posters, and even brought coffee to the Elida staff.
Thank you!

Seniors: Don't Miss Your Opportunities for Scholarships
Parents of Seniors: Please encourage seniors to take a look at the 14 local scholarships available on the scholarship tab of the high school website. SCHOLARSHIP LINK HERE. These are the scholarships that are awarded each year at senior honors night in May. Even though we are experiencing the school closure, our local scholarship folks still want to be able to distribute scholarships this year to our seniors of 2020, but we need you, the seniors, to apply and submit those applications in order to be considered.
You can print off copies of all 14 applications using the link above, complete the applications, and then submit them to Mr. Smith or Mrs. Schultz by scan or pic to one of their emails or through Schoology. Complete the information, essays, etc. that you can, and they will add in/verify the information you may not have (like class rank, GPA, etc.). Many of them typically need a letter of recommendation, but our scholarship folks will work with us on that knowing that may not be possible this year. They are very excited to be able to honor a group of kids that have had a very trying year with some much-deserved scholarship money, so we encourage you to get those applications sent in!
Musical Rehearsal Performance

On social media, we are sharing pictures of our families doing homework together, or making dinner or getting outside for some fun in the warmer temperatures. We won't let social distancing keep Elida Bulldog Families from seeing each other!
You can use the picture of the paw print to color and post it--either on your front door or post on social media. Use the hashtag #elidatogether.
