Alexander Graham Bell was born on March 3, 1847, and died on August 2, 1922.
Life Before Fame
Alexander had two brothers that died from tuberculosis, and a mother who was nearly deaf. Alexander was home schooled, and was taught to have an infinite curiosity for the world around him. After being home schooled he received one year of education in a private school, then two years at Edinburgh's Royal High School. Alexander worked with the deaf in his fathers company, teaching them how to speak. Alexander got married on July 11,1877 to Mable Hubbard.

1. When Alexander died the telephone services shut down for a minute in his honor.
