A Time of Giving

As you consider giving to the staff at Christmas time, expressions of love and support come in many forms. Last year we were able to have a 'Giving Tree' in which staff wrote down items that they 'wished for' to help them with their tasks at school. The Giving Tree was a blessing and staff received items that helped them help their students! With no Giving Tree this year, I wanted to ask that your family consider giving your time and talent as a gift. Any time beyond your 15 hours to help an educator is a blessing. If you are not sure what you can do, please contact your student's educator. An hour of grading, helping in the classroom, and working on a special project are all wonderful ways to bless!

Many educators have items that they need throughout the school year and a gift card to Wal-mart would help supply their needs, this could be anything from art supplies, graph paper, science experiment materials, to Expo markers. Gifts that are used to bless the students are wonderful gifts!

Your greatest gift that you can give and continue to give is that of prayer for the staff. The staff work long days and often take home work. (Just a note, they do this ALL because of their love for Christ and their commitment to our Saints.) Prayer for physical strength, resources for their families, growth as educators, and for needs inside and outside the classroom is vitally important.

Items to Keep you in the Know

  • Monday, December 14th-- Students may wear a Christmas shirt instead of a uniform shirt and uniform pants/skirts when they bring $1.
  • Thursday, December 17th-- Students may wear jeans and a Christian t-shirt.
