The Family Center - Building Partnerships Between School and Home
The Family Center offers parents help and resources they can use to support their child at home. Ms. McBride and Ms. Morales can assist families with questions and resources throughout the school day. Research shows that involving families and communities in their local schools improves children's academic and social success. Therefore, the mission of the Family Center is to impact the academic achievement of each student by creating an environment that strengthens parental involvement and provides resources for parents.
What can the Family Center do for me?
- Build parent capacity
- Volunteer opportunities…We need you!
- Check out books, games, CDs, and more to help your child at home
- Workshops, English classes, and nutrition classes
- Help with school-related paperwork, website activities, MyPaymentsPlus
- Teach me what my child is learning
- Help me communicate with teachers
- Community resources
- Build community involvement
We are so excited to begin preparations for the 2022-23 school year. BenefieldElementary will use MyPaymentsPlus (MPP) to electronically review and digitally sign required Gwinnett County Public Schools orientation forms. We encourage all families to create a MPP account. No purchase is necessary to have a MPP account. You will be able to read and digitally sign documents and/or make necessary payments. It is a great way for you to manage and keep track of all of your student payments and forms in one place throughout the school year.
Should you need any assistance with creating an account, please contact the Benefield Family Center. Please feel free to contact Ms. McBride and Ms. Morales via our Family Center, 678-518-698.
