Originally this book was written for children, but it turned out to be a bestseller – for adults – and it has won the ‘Whitbread book of the year’ prize.
Mark Haddon
Born 26 September 1962 is an English novelist and poet, best known for his 2003 novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, winner, among other awards, of the Whitbread Book Award for Best Novel and Book of the Year in 2003.
Why this title?
It also features some of Conan Doyle's most effective plotting, hinging on the "curious incident of the dog in the night-time:"

- It is a mystery novel in wich the victim is a dog.
- Christopher John Francis Bone is the main character and narrator.
- PLOT: one day his neigbourg´s dog is killed and his carefuly constructive universe is threatened.
- Chistopher decided to solve ihe murder in the style of his favourite detective, Sherlock Holmes.
How good?
- The point of view from a boy Asperger´s Sindrome.
- The language is rather easy to understand
- Chapters in prime numbers.
- Christopher has got a smelltrack in his life.
- The book is full of inputs, diagrams, calculations, memories...

What passage?
