THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME by Mark Haddon

Why this title?

It also features some of Conan Doyle's most effective plotting, hinging on the "curious incident of the dog in the night-time:"

Gregory (Scotland Yard detective): "Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?

"Holmes: "To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.

"Gregory: "The dog did nothing in the night-time

."Holmes: "That was the curious incident."

What about?

  1. It is a mystery novel in wich the victim is a dog.
  2. Christopher John Francis Bone is the main character and narrator.
  3. PLOT: one day his neigbourg´s dog is killed and his carefuly constructive universe is threatened.
  4. Chistopher decided to solve ihe murder in the style of his favourite detective, Sherlock Holmes.

How good?

  • The point of view from a boy Asperger´s Sindrome.
  • The language is rather easy to understand
  • Chapters in prime numbers.
  • Christopher has got a smelltrack in his life.
  • The book is full of inputs, diagrams, calculations, memories...

What passage?
