Welcome Back Information from PTO
Hello Village Families and welcome back to school.
Next week (Sept 2 at 7:00pm) is our first PTO meeting. The Zoom link will be available on Konstella (this is the name of our PTO platform/app for the year).
We, The Village PTO, need you to join us to help support the school! We will invest $50/student this year and most of that will go back to the classrooms to provide grade level teams with money to do extra projects! One year, the first grade team hatched chickens! (That was lots of fun!). This year it may look a little different, but we still want to provide teachers with the funds so that they can dream big and make learning come alive for our kids.
Likely we won't be able to do fundraisers this year (Lucky you, you are off the hook for volunteering?!?) but that means that more than ever, we need you to join PTO and make a donation because you value giving teachers support to dream up ways to make learning fun.
You likely saw a PURPLE cardstock flyer in your back to school supply bag- it has information about PTO!
How do you join?
1) Join Konstella (download the app, use the code L39A6R, put your kids into their classrooms for this year)
2) "JOIN PTO" on Konstella!
3) make a donation to PTO on Konstella!
easy peasy!
Then, please join us on Wednesday September 2 at 7:00 pm for the first PTO meeting of the year on zoom!

VES Attendance and Engagement
Daily Attendance will be taken based on student participation in zooms and communication with teachers (based on Google Classroom and daily lesson expectations- more information to come at BTSN)
Engagement data will be collected and reported, based on work completion and (think of a teacher's grade book).
If your student comes to zoom meetings, communicates with their classroom teacher daily, and attempts their daily work to the best of their abilities, they will get counted for their daily attendance and engagement. If your child is NOT present, you will receive an attendance call, like previous absences, and be asked to call us back to verify their absences.
