CKE Monday Notes

"If It's to Be, It's Up to Me"

March Faculty Meeting - TOMORROW (3/15)!

All certified staff will need to report to the media center for our monthly faculty meeting tomorrow afternoon at 3:10. We are looking forward to hearing from Connie Brown from Mentoring Minds resources. I met Connie at the GACIS conference in the fall and she had some awesome resources for supplementing instruction and providing additional support for teachers! We are looking forward to her visit and seeing all of the great products available from Mentoring Minds. We may have some guests from other schools and/or the central office join us.

Welcome Back Ms. Holcomb!

We are so glad to see Kay back and are thankful that she is doing better. She was greatly missed and I can tell you that the office didn't seem the same without her. So welcome back Kay! As we continue to deal with sickness we want to encourage everyone to stay on top of disinfecting your rooms and encouraging students to wash their hands, especially after using the restroom.

Attendance Concerns

We would like to encourage homeroom teachers to stay on top of attendance and be sure to follow all protocols. In your weekly newsletters from now until the end of the year please remind parents that students need to be here as much as possible and to send notes in when their child is out. Especially remind them that they have three days from when their child returns to school to submit a note. Please contact Carmon if you have any questions and/or concerns regarding attendance.
