Students who won gold keys will be moving on to the Scholastic national competition in March. The award ceremony is Monday, February 13th & Tuesday, February 14th at the Detroit Institute of Arts. The art can be viewed at the College for Creative Studies from February 13th - March 3rd.

Western Claims City Championship
Walled Lake Wild Win Gold at Bay City Tournament
The Wild swept the weekend and took home the gold medal with a win over Troy (6-2) and two shutouts of Washtenaw (5-0, 3-0). Walled Lake Central's Lauren Willis (6 goals and 2 assists) and Amanda Dunn (5 goals and 2 assists) paced the Wild with big scoring weekends. Walled Lake Western freshman Arianna O'Connell earned the shutout in net on Friday and shared Sunday's shutout with fellow Warrior netminder Skylar Mack.
Next up for the Wild, a date with Sacred Heart on Friday, 8:20 p.m., at Lakeland Arena. Walled Lake then hosts Cranbrook at Lakeland Arena on Saturday at 8 in its annual Pink Out Game.

Signing Up for SMS Messages via Skylert
In addition to receiving phone calls and email notifications from the school district in the event of a school closing or emergency, parents can also sign up to receive SMS Text messages.
