It has been a busy start to the new year. The 1st semester has ended and the new semester begins today. Tomorrow, Tuesday January 19th, JHS will be hosting an Open House from 6-7 pm. This is a great opportunity for parents and patrons to come visit with faculty and staff.
This past Friday night, the JHS Pep Band was accompanied by special guests for the boys and girls basketball games against Deer Lodge. The guests included 17 musicians from Montana City Elementary, 32 from Clancy Elementary, and 16 from Boulder Elementary. It was a great opportunity to have these talented students join the JHS Pep Band and show their talents. A big thank you goes out to all the school band directors for organizing this event.
The Art and Skills Club have produced corn hole board games as a fundraiser. These boards will be on display at upcoming games and a silent auction will take place. Please consider supporting the efforts of these two clubs.
The second round of MAP testing will take place this week at JHS. The data is used to measure student performance and help identify areas of strength and need.
The information listed below comes from Mr. Joe Michaud, the JHS counselor. He has created the links to social media and will be using the tools to pass on pertinent information about many happenings at JHS. Please feel free to follow on both the facebook and twitter sites.
Hello Panthers and Panther Supporters!
Because it looks like social media is here to stay, and this is the medium many of our kids and families use, I’ve created Facebook and Twitter Pages on all the events and wonderful things going on here at JHS.
Below my signature are the Jefferson HS Twitter and Facebook pages. Please “follow” or “like” if applicable.
Spread the word! Also, if you have any goings on or news about the fantastic things our Panthers are doing, I’d love to get the magnificent information out there. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Have a great day!
Joe Michaud MA.Ed.
