DIa de los Muertos is a celebration that we have to celebrate the people who have past. It is celebrated November 1st and 2nd. It is celebrated for two days because November 1st is for the infants, children, and teens, and the second day is for the adults.

A altar is used for gifts and food. They put the person who has died favorite foods or traditional food. They also put gifts (offerings) on the altar. The offerings and altars are usually beautiful because they are used to celebrate the people who have died. They also put pictures of the person who has died on the altar. You also put candles and marigolds.

Luis Guketes (my ta-ta) was is the Vietnam and he was a submarine chef. He liked cooking for people. He was a great chef. I didn't know him well because he died when I was 1, but everyone tells me he was great!
