Schedule Information ...
Once the school year begins, if a student would like to make a change to his/her schedule, they should see their school counselor as soon as possible. Schedule changes can take place during the first twenty instructional days of the school year.

If applying EARLY DECISION/ACTION, please let Mrs. O’Brien know and make note of the application deadline … some schools want the application as early as October 15th

JUNIORS ...
The PSAT/NMSQT is a preliminary version of the SAT and is also used as the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. In addition, the PSAT/NMSQT allows students to assess their critical reading, mathematical reasoning, and writing skills. Student feedback includes suggestions on how to improve academic skills and prep for the SAT with a free personalized study plan. Students also gain access to MyCollegeQuickStart, a great tool with resources and information about college and career planning.
Sophomores ...
Now is a perfect time to continue your involvement with our school and local community. A variety of community service opportunities will be posted outside of the health office throughout the year. It's never too early to get involved!!
Freshmen ...
STAR Program at RPI...
Rensselaer invites academically talented seniors, who are underrepresented minorities or young women, to apply for the STAR (Science, Technology, Arts at Rensselaer) Program. The STAR program allows high school seniors to experience life as a Rensselaer student. They will attend classes, tour the campus, visit the laboratories, and connect with current Rensselaer students, faculty and staff.
STAR begins the evening of Thursday, October 27, 2016 with a dinner reception and concludes Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the close of the Fall Open House.Students may apply online by September 23, 2016 to participate in the STAR Program. A copy of the students’ high school transcript is required to complete the STAR application prior to the deadline date of September 23, 2016.
Students accepted to participate in the STAR Program will receive a confirmation email from Rensselaer.
NCAA Eligibility Center ...
If you expect to participate in athletics at a NCAA Division I or Division II college, you must register with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
When you register online, please be sure to tell your counselor so your transcript can be sent!
