IF WE WERE TO GRADE EACH OF YOU ON THE 10 ABOVE ITEMS, EACH BEING WORTH 10 POINTS, WHAT WOULD YOUR ATHLETIC GRADE BE??

AS SEASON WINDS DOWN, 7TH GRADE SWEEPS CARROLL, AND 8TH GRADE STRUGGLES BUT STILL WILL HAVE POSSIBLE TOP 4 SEEDING.

7TH GRADE CONTINUED THEIR YEAR LONG IMPRESSIVE DOMINANCE OVER CARROLL BY SWEEPING ALL 3 GAMES. WINS IN EACH SPORT CONTINUE TO HOLD THE MENTAL EDGE OVER SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR! GREAT JOB GUYS!

8TH GRADE CAME UP SHORT IN ALL THREE GAMES, BUT WERE COMPETITIVE WITH CHANCES TO OVERTAKE CARROLL. THE A TEAM WILL PROBABLY END UP IN EITHER A 4-WAY OR 5-WAY TIE FOR THE 2 OR 3 SEED IN THE TOURNAMENT. COULD COME DOWN TO A COIN FLIP IN WHAT HAS BEEN A CRAZY SEASON OF PARODY WITH THE 8TH GRADE.

OFF-SEASON CONTINUES TO RISE TO EACH CHALLENGE WE GIVE EACH WEEK. I TOLD THE BOYS YESTERDAY HOW HAPPY AND PLEASED WE ARE THAT THEY EXTREMELY COACHABLE AND TAKE THE CRITIQUE IN STRIDE IN ORDER TO PREPARE FOR THE NEXT SPORT!

8TH GRADE BASKETBALL SCORES VS CARROLL

7TH GRADE OFFSEASON ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - CHRIS BUI

Chris has been showing each week that he is dedicated to getting better. His offseason group won competition last week and his Coach Dulaney elected him captain for the week.

8TH GRADE OFFSEASON ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - CARTER HOFF

Carter shows up early every MWF to lift and has his workout plan ready to go. His growth and coachability is one of the best of all the 8th grade. His offseason team won competition won last week and Coach Parker elected him as captain. We are extremely proud of him.

7TH GRADE C TEAM PLAYER OF THE GAME - VS CARROLL - KYLE SMITH

Kyle went 2-2 from the free throw line and had a key bucket in the foUrth to help the C-team improve to 4-3 on the year. He also made important defensive stops in the 4th quarter to help keep the Dragons at bay. Kyle has improved his play the last couple of weeks and logged key minutes.

7TH GRADE B TEAM PLAYER OF THE GAME - VS CARROLL - RYAN BALSANO

Ryan made his first start of the season and he responded to lead all scores with 8 points to help lead the Colts to a 4-3 record. He had his best game of the year on both ends of the court.

7TH GRADE A TEAM PLAYER OF THE GAME - VS CARROLL - AJ SMITH

A.J. put in hard work on both sides of the ball! He made some great game-time adjustments and put in necessary minutes at both the 3 and 4 positions. A.J. posted 10 points, several key rebounds, and kept pressure on the Dragons every minute he was on the court. Huge team effort all around, but A.J.'s play definitely stood out this week. Let's keep this momentum going and finish the regular season strong with a W next week versus Grapevine.

8TH GRADE C TEAM PLAYER OF THE GAME - VS CARROLL - MASON ROSE

Mason showed GRIT last night in a close game with Carroll by having a strong presence under the basket and generating 3 defensive rebounds and an offensive rebound. Mason worked to put the team in a good position when inbounding the ball against their press.

8TH GRADE B TEAM PLAYER OF THE GAME - VS CARROLL - ETHAN MICHAEL

In an electric game against Carroll, Ethan showed true effort on defense with 3 steals and causing many turnovers for the Carroll team. It is a great pleasure as a coach to see an athlete who is willing to put forth all of their effort on the court.

8TH GRADE A TEAM PLAYER OF THE GAME - VS CARROLL - AUSTIN ALEXANDER

In another hard fought game against Carroll MS, Austin came up big on both ends of the floor. The team responded well to adversity and stuck in another close game but came up short. Austin played the entire game of 24 minutes without getting much of a break and came through to help lead the team with 9 points. The whole team played well, but Austin showed true toughness and determination on the defensive end to keep the team hanging around until the final buzzer.
