Message for February 2022
From Your Vernon Township High School Administrative Team

FEBRUARY 2022

Welcome to February!
We begin the month of February with Midterm Week at VTHS. Although this is a new venture for many of our students, our teachers have been diligently preparing students for their midterm exams. Please be reminded that the high school will operate on an Early Dismissal Schedule from Monday, January 31st through Thursday, February 4th. The only afterschool buses available during that week will depart VTHS at 3:30 pm. Friday, February 5th will be a full day of school.
On Thursday, January 27th, the Vernon Township Board of Education voted to extend President's Weekend by an additional day. The 4-day weekend now includes Monday, Febrary 21st and Tuesday, February 22nd. Enjoy the extra long weekend!
Wishing you all the best as we continue working together for the 2021-2022 school year,
Pauline F. Anderson, Danielle Colte, and Nicholas M. Demsak
Action for Happiness Calendars...
According to Action for Happiness, "we need each other more than ever right now! This month let's focus on reaching out to connect with others and doing our best to be a good friend. Our acts of kindness and connection ripple out and impact so many more people than we realize - and they also boost our own happy hormones too! In stressful times people around us may be feeling the strain, so let's try to keep calm, take time to listen, and show compassion."
