WHAT'S SPLASHING?
Burlington County Special Services School District
Feburary 2016
One of the goals for the Aquatics program is to create a positive social environment where students can respectfully communicate and interact with their peers to experience success. The students are working on team building activities while also practicing their swim skills. A description of this activity:
Students will be working in pairs. Students will be on their boat (pool mat) to communicate with each other to successful move through the obstacle course to collect their objects without hitting the floating object in the pool.
This activity is helping to students to learn the importance of communication to achieve a goal. Without successful communication this activity would not be possible. Students need to be able to listen and apply ideas from one other to maneuver the mat through the obstacle course. This activity is allowing students to see the importance of listening and using ideas from each other.
