NEED 2 KNOW

Vanguard Spring 2016 Feedback

As I noted in last week's VanWeekly, I need you to "help me, help you." Though I may have a handful of talents, one of them is not reading minds. In order for Vanguard to work to support you and meet your needs in the best way possible, we'd like your feedback.

You may provide your name or leave the form anonymous. The questions with a scale are required, but the short answers are optional.

VanCon 2016 Sessions

VanCon 2016 is gearing up to be an exciting and informative day. Shortly, I will be emailing individuals who have noted they would be interested in leading or co-leading a session.

If/when you receive an email, you may find the names of others with you as well. Remember, the sessions will last for one hour. The first half hour will be the presentation-style. If there are multiple presenters and/or presenter groups, the time can be divided for each set to share their story/resources/ideas.

The second half hour will be the work and exploration time.

Vanguard Shirts

The order has been placed for the Vanguard t-shirts. Once they arrive (which is approximately the first week of April), they will be sent through inner-school mail.

Start thinking about what you'd like our next design to look like. We'll need something fresh to start off the new school year!

REMINDER: GaETC Applications Due April 1

Be sure to get your applications in to present at GaETC! Let's make it VanCon, Part 2! :)

Help Wanted for Collaboration

Jennifer Taylor, 4th grade at High Point ES, is looking for a 4th or 5th grade classroom with which to connect for a project that intertwines geometry and measurement. Interested? Contact her at taylorjk@fultonschools.org.

Personalized Learning: Overview

Throughout the upcoming weeks, the PD section will focus on different aspects of Personalized Learning. As Vanguard team members, it's essential that you have a quality understanding of the 7 Principles of Personalized Learning used in Fulton County. You don't have to be an expert in each of them, but you should be able to speak to them within your schools, and with the folks you are coaching.

To get started, take a look through the presentation linked below.
