Weekly Update 9/8/15-9/11/15

We had a wonderful first week of school at WHES! I continue to be so proud to be a part of your school community. Thank you all for being flexible, supportive and organized as we start this new school year.

Happening this week....

* #wwpschat twitter chat will be happening Wednesday, September 9th at 8:00pm. Join your colleagues from around the district in an innovative and exciting twitter conversation!

*Child Outreach will be screening all K students that have not been screened yet on Wednesday, September 9th in the conference room.

* The first reading intervention protocol meetings are set to begin this Friday, September 11th. I will send you details for these meetings after I attend a district level meeting regarding this tomorrow.

*All K students and teachers will report to the cafeteria at 9:15am tomorrow for a brief "High Five Pledge" meeting with Myself and Mrs. Marchetti.

Reminders/ To Do:

Duty Responsiblities, TA Schedules and Parent Dismissal

* It is essential that you arrive to your duty on time each day. The duty schedule is available here. https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/0B2Kc35bHF2FKfmpYOHZlRW1BeEhOaUdST3I0RVk3MTQ4YlVzZTNfTjZYTkRWNGk3WXBSalk Please review it and make sure that you are aware of your duty responsibilities. If you are unable to report to your assigned duty for any reason please notify the main office so that we can arrange for coverage.

* All teachers working with Full-Time Teacher Assistant's please submit a copy of their schedule(s) to me by Friday, September 11th. This should include all break/lunch times. *Our parent/guardian pick-up dismissal process was changed last week. I think the initial bumps and bruises should be over but please feel free to add input as we move forward with a new system that ensures our students are always safe and secure.
