Class of 2020 Graduation

Wanted to share our plans for Graduation with you in hopes, you can join in our celebratory Parade for the Class of 2020.

While the following is not the ceremony they were expecting, we hope this plan allows for most of the traditional elements that our graduates deserve, while still following state and county health guidelines.

This was a collaboration of efforts among city leaders, school officials, and senior students. Thank you to everyone who helped us design this unique and special ceremony for this amazing group of students.

VIRTUAL CEREMONY:
Pre-recorded prayers and speeches by students, senior video, and senior slideshow will be released for online viewing at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 22.

Follow us on Facebook in order to watch the virtual ceremony as soon as it is release at noon.

DRIVE UP CEREMONY:
An outdoor drive up graduation ceremony will be held at the Lago Vista High School parking lot. Students in caps and gowns will be driven to the outdoor stage, walk across the stage, receive their diplomas, and pose for the traditional graduation picture. TICKET IS REQUIRED FOR PARKING LOT ENTRY and unfortunately, there will only be a limited number of vehicles allowed.

But, you can still watch the livestream of the 2020 Lago Vista High School Graduation ceremony here:

RADIO BROADCAST:
Both the Lago Vista High School Graduation ceremony and the Lago Vista High School 2020 Graduate Parade will be featured LIVE on LagoRadio, beginning at 6:00pm on Friday, May 22. Tune into 1670AM or visit www.lagoradio.org.

GRADUATE PARADE:
Directly following the outdoor ceremony (~7:15pm) graduates will leave the high school and drive to a community parade on Dawn Drive to honor the Class of 2020. We encourage all the community to come out to celebrate our graduates or, if you are on the route, step outside to show your Viking Pride.

Note: The parade will not be live-streamed. Please see picture for parade route below.
