Happy 2016

Burr! It's mighty cold out in the mornings! Please label all coats, scarves, hats, etc. that your child brings to school. Also remember the building does not open until 7:30, there is no staff on duty before that time.

Calendar Notes:

  • No school Monday, January 18th for MLK Day.
  • Tutoring and clubs resume today.

Miss Texas came to Heights today!

Miss Texas, Shannon Sanderford stopped by RHE this morning to speak to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade about the "Legos of Life." Please ask your students what they were...in case they don't recall, they are Math, Reading, and making good choices. She also spoke to the students about perseverance. You can do whatever you dream if you keep going! It was a great way to start 2016.

Notes from Mrs. Wells:

In the Richardson Independent School District all students in kinder through sixth grade have imagination station accounts. Imagination station reading curriculum delivers student-driven instruction that focuses on the individual needs of each student. The students are assessed with the Imagination Station’s Indicators of Progress (ISIP) which measures the student’s current skill levels and provides teachers data to drive instruction in early and advanced reading skills. This program can also be accessed at home. If you would like your student to use it at home, go to www.istation.com and click on the heading for Services and Support. This page will give you the technical requirements and the installation links. When the application is installed you will need to enter the domain name for Richardson Heights. Start typing in the school name and a list will appear. Be sure to choose the correct school. Leave the space for Group blank. Your child’s username is their initials and their student id. Most of them will remember this on their own. The password is risd.
