Did you know that Perry is the only high school in CUSD to have an active PPO? Our PPO raises money to provide scholarships for students and to show appreciation to our teachers and staff throughout the year!
Come to Perry's Puma Parent Organization upcoming meeting:
Wednesday, September 22nd at 6:30pm in the cafeteria.
Topics of discussion will include Taste of Perry fundraiser on Oct 20th and ways to support our wonderful teachers and staff!
We hope to see you there!
Team Emery Classic- Charity Baseball Camp
September 25th is the Team Emery Classic (Formerly JM23 Classic). It is a charity baseball tournament at Tempe Diablo Stadium that is run by a former Puma and was created to support another former Puma.
This year the Classic is helping raise money for the family of Jeff Forney. Jeff was a baseball lifer who had experience in all levels of the game, and many of you likely know him through his involvement in both the community and church, whether it be through the game or outreach programs. This summer he suddenly passed away, so it is fitting that this year’s Classic raises money to help a family in need who has given back so much.
In addition to the tournament (which we will play beginning Sept. 24), we are also hosting a youth camp to raise money for the Forneys. The camp will be held in Tempe Diablo Stadium, the same stadium where Mike Trout, Albert Pujols, and Shohei Ohtani play.
Here are the details:
WHEN: Sept. 25, 5-8 p.m.
WHERE: Tempe Diablo Stadium
WHO: Grades 1st-8th
COACHES: Local high school and college coaches
COST: $40 donations at the door
Please share the attached flyer with anyone who has a young baseball or softball player in your network. My goal is to get 100 kids at this event. Click here to register.
Also, we are still looking for volunteers for the entire tournament. Below are the links for the tournament, camp, and volunteer opportunities.
Free Flu Shots!
Free flu shots are here! Now that back-to-school shots are slowing down, it's time for our busy flu season!
We offer them weekly in both our Chandler and Gilbert clinics.
These are free to all, regardless of insurance coverage. We give flu shots to adults and kids 6 months and older.

Chandler Unified Mitigation Plan- Update Related to Quarantine
August 20, 2021
Dear CUSD Families and Staff,
We are writing to inform you that the Maricopa County Department of Public Health has notified local school districts that they have the delegated authority to determine which contacts must be quarantined. This is outlined in the Arizona Revised Statutes Title 36, Chapter 6, Article 2 (36-624) and Arizona Administrative Code (R9-6-361)
Maricopa County Department of Public Health continues to follow CDC and Arizona Department of Public Health Services guidelines which defines close contact of a COVID-19 case as being any person within 6 feet for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more during a 24-hour period, regardless of whether masks were worn. Effective Wednesday, August 26, 2021 students who have close contact with an individual who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 and who are not fully vaccinated or have not tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 90 days are to quarantine (stay home) for up to 10 days, per county mandate.
Students may shorten the duration of a quarantine in three ways:
Quarantine may end after 7 days if no symptoms have occurred and a documented negative result has been provided to the school. If choosing to return after seven days, the test sample must have been collected at least five days after exposure.
If your child has been fully vaccinated and you voluntarily submit proof to the school. If 14 days have passed since your second dose in a two-dose series (or two weeks after a single dose vaccine), you do not have to quarantine.
If your child previously tested positive for COVID-19 by PCR or antigen test, recovered and then completed his/her isolation period in the last 90 days.
As a safety measure please keep your child home if ill or shows Covid-19 symptoms. We continue to highly recommend face coverings as an additional layer of mitigation. For updates and continuous information, click here to view our mitigation plan in its entirety.
Thank you for your continued support.
