Leadership Message
WELCOME BACK!
Charitable giving - Almsgiving - is a very ancient practice; almsgiving was normative long before the time of Jesus. The Lenten call to almsgiving means making the needs of other people our own. One of the central lessons of the cross is compassion; the heavy burdens we carry help us to appreciate the suffering in others. Sharing our material goods is often just the beginning of real Christian giving. We are also called to share our time tending to people in need.
Thank-you to our whole school community for their generous support for Ukraine. Before the Spring Break the school held a 'Break the Rules Day." The junior high leadership team also made and sold bracelets and buttons as part of their fundrainsing inititive.
We are so very proud to say our collective efforts raised $575.00 to support our partner school in the Ukraine. What a fantasitc effort by our school community! Well done St. Luke!
Blessings on your Lenten Journey,
Cathy Hinger
Principal
