General Music Concert- Wed., 3/2
Hello Washington Families,
We are very excited for your children to participate in our General Music Concert on Wednesday March 2nd, 2022 at Washington School. This concert will be recorded during school on March 2nd, 2022 and will be accessible for 24 hours via a link which will be sent to you the week of the concert. There will not be a parent audience for this concert.
On Wednesday March 2nd, we ask that your child arrives at school “Dressing for Success.” Since this is their first performance in quite some time, we would love for them to dress up for the occasion! There is no specific color or outfit request, just please be sure your child is wearing school appropriate attire and they may bring a change of clothes for after the concert.
After a long hiatus from performing, we are excited for your children to have this opportunity to make music together again. They have worked very hard and we hope you enjoy watching the concert together as a family in the comforts of your home!
If you have any questions please feel free to contact our music teacher, Aileen Koch aileen.koch@millburn.org or Peter Mercurio peter.mercurio@millburn.org.
Have a wonderful Winter Break!

LinkIt! ELA Benchmark Assessment
Dear Washington School Families,
Thank you for your partnership this school year as we work together to help our students learn and grow. We wanted to share with you that on Thursday, March 3 your child will participate in an English Language Arts (ELA) Benchmark Assessment using an online platform called LinkIt.
The benchmark results are for instructional purposes only and will provide important information to your child’s teacher about their growth over the course of the year, strengths and areas of needed growth for upcoming lessons. Please note, this benchmark is only one of multiple measures that we use to make instructional decisions.
The assessment will begin at 9:15 am and take approximately 45-55 minutes to complete. We have built-in extra time for students with accommodations.
Thank you for your continued support.

Nurse's Corner: Message from Mrs. O'Gorman
In anticipation of updates to the mask mandate, one of the metrics used to make decisions about future plans is vaccination status.
- Please make sure your child is vaccinated and boosted (where appropriate) and update your child’s vaccination status. It is used to determine quarantine timelines.
- Elementary parents should enter the information using the PowerSchool Form in the Parent Portal and in the PowerSchool App
- Get instructions here.
Congratulations, Washington!
