What is "Wellness"?
Wellness is your optimal health that contains a balance in physical, mental, and social health which contributes to prevention of disease. Keeping a good balance of all the elements of wellness improves the overall quality of life.
Physical, Emotional
- Physical wellness deals with your body by eating right and taking part in daily activity.
- Emotional wellness is being able to deal with all of life's struggles and to enjoy life to the fullest.
Mental, Social
- Mental wellness is the continuing search for knowledge through teachings but also life experiences.
- Social wellness deals with your interaction with others and your overall communication and affection.
Spiritual
- Spiritual wellness is having values and morals that give meaning to your life and taking part in spiritual ceremonies to grow in that wellness.
What makes wellness worth it?
Wellness is a way of living—eating a healthful diet, being physically active and managing your well-being every day. And while it may take some effort at first to make wellness a priority in your life, the rewards are worth it!!!
