Happy May 1st

From Mr. Nittel:
Hello Panther Families!
I hope this email finds you all safe and healthy. Our teachers and support staff have been working tirelessly to balance the amount of work and activities during this historic lock-in situation, while keeping our students' minds and bodies working and growing academically and physically. As a parent, I can empathize with the difficulty of working from home and simultaneously keeping young students busy and up to date with school work. I also recognize that some folks are no longer able to work due to business closures, causing even further stress in our students' households.
Please know that we are here to help and not exasperate an already frustrating situation. Our guidance counselor, Mrs. Snarski, is available to help students and families with social emotional issues and can recommend resources for families in need. Please reach out to her if you would like assistance at: lsnarski@minehillcas.org.
If your child is eligible for free and reduced lunch, the feeding station is still in front of the main office from 10am to 12pm Monday thru Friday. We realize that our Panther families’ financial situation may have changed drastically since we have had to close the building. Please know that we will feed ANY child under the age of 18, no questions asked.
BTW - If you post any pics of your kids doing remote learning to Social Media, be sure to #minehillcas, so we can feature them on Twitter!
BIG SHOUT OUT to Mr. Z! #misterZrocksCAS (let’s trend this hashtag with messages of thanks!)
May 1st is Principal's Day, and I’d like to pay tribute the fine work Mr. Zygmunt does each and every day to be sure CAS runs smoothly. I’m a little biased, but he is by far the finest Principal I have had the pleasure of working with. His caring for the staff and students is more than noticed! He knows every student by name, he has NEVER missed a Friday update, he can be seen at nearly EVERY school event, and works collaboratively with staff and teachers to make CAS the BEST it can be. He is truly invested in making sure each and every Panther is recognized, cared for, and educated. THANK YOU MR. Z, for EVERYTHING YOU DO!!
Finally, in addition to Principal Day, May 4th thru 8th (Next Week) is Teacher Appreciation Week. In these unprecedented times of stress and disharmony, our appreciation for these educators takes on a whole new meaning! THANK YOU TEACHERS!!!! You have been the glue that holds our learning community together!!!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me! I miss your shining faces, and look forward to the day we can be together again, live and in person!
Warm Regards,
Mr. Nittel
