Timothy Ball News Dec 23 - Jan 3
Welcoming all. Believing in all. Growth for all.
A Note from Mr. Ciochina
We were all overwhelmed at the generosity and giving of our school community with the incredible donations to the Crown Point Food Pantry and our Bulldog Angel Tree project. We hope all of our Timothy Ball families enjoy this Holiday season and we wish you a Happy New Year! Thank you for making 2019 a great year. School will resume on January 6, 2020.
Congratulations to our fifth graders who graduated from the DARE program on Thursday! Our students did a fantastic job at the ceremony, but more importantly learned valuable lessons the past several months about respect, positive decision making, and resisting substance abuse. We are very grateful for this partnership with the Crown Point Police Department and cannot thank Officer Gligic enough for his time, talent, knowledge, and energy that he has given to shape our students’ lives.
Thank you for being a fantastic partner in education. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Mr. Ciochina

Social-Emotional News from Mrs. Holok
Did you know the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana has a traveling food pantry every Wednesday? You can find the location of the next Pantry-on-the-go on Facebook at “Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.” The only requirement is a photo ID and you must be a resident in Lake County. You can also find other pantry locations at https://foodbanknwi.org/get-help/find-a-pantry/. Lake County has several programs available individuals and families who are in need of a little extra assistance. Remember, it is not a bad thing to ask for help- everyone needs help at some point. If you or someone you know is ever in need, please feel free to contact me for a list of local community resources that are available.
I hope you all have a wonderful winter break and have time to relax. Happy Holidays

The school store will be open in the cafeteria in the mornings before school on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 until the bell rings. Prices begin at 25 cents. We have pens, pencils, bookmarks, highlighters, pencil sharpeners, etc.
FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE
Please put an extra pair of clothes in your child’s backpack/locker. The nurse has clothes but not always every size! Thank you!
Attention: If your child has a Dr. note restricting them from PE they must sit out from recess. They can sit on the bench with a book or game. This is to keep them safe from further injury. If you have any questions please contact our nurse, Mrs. Schurch.
