A Few Things About Stress...
There is a difference between good and bad stress,good stress is also known as the fight or flight situation and it's made to protect you from a bad situation. Bad stress is where your body is producing extra hormones and it's wearing out your body's reserves and it can leave you feeling weak or overwhelmed and some times sick and with a weakened immune system.
Everyone may have similar or different responses to stress. It just depends on the person and their body. Some people might act out in anger and want to take it out on anything and everything. And other people may isolate, or shutting themselves out from every one else, these kind of people may start having eating disorders or substance abuse.
And a few of the emotions that stress can cause is anger, depression, or even hatred towards themselves or others.
There are lots of things you can do to keep your mind off of stress and a few of those things may include...
-Being or getting active.
-Getting enough sleep.
-Managing your time so you can do things you enjoy.
-Talking about it. There is always someone who is willing to listen and talk to you about your problems.
-Controlled breathing.. for example just take a few deep breathes or blow out a candle or do the 4-7-8 method.
There are also some unhealthy things people do to relive stress and those may include..
-Not getting enough sleep.
-or even.... suicide.
A few places you could go to get help is talking to a teacher or a therapist or your parents or someone you can trust.
cutting isn't the solution to a problem. In fact it may make problems worse because your still keeping and building problems up and you're keeping them locked up inside.
By being active you'll become fit and it helps keep your mind off of depression problems
talk to someone!
By talking to someone you're not holding in the problems and feeling really depressed by it because you just relieved yourself a little bit by telling someone about your problems.
