~ IMPORTANT NOTES ~
FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
What a wonderful week!
Yesterday was particularly fantastic as we held our 23rd annual Convocation ceremony! During this lovely ceremony, we celebrated new students, new staff, and the start of the new school year. We also shared our school mission for this year, which is to "TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER!" To support this mission, the Cougar Council donated a bench called the "Buddy Bench". This bench will sit on our playground and children were taught that if they need a friend, they can sit on the bench. If they see someone sitting on the bench, they can reach out to be that person's buddy! Finally, we honored members of the South Brunswick Police Department for demonstrating the mission of taking care of each other. The South Brunswick Police Department has a wonderful partnership with our schools. The students were thrilled to thank the officers for everything they do to keep us safe! While we specifically honored the South Brunswick officers today, I would like to also thank those of you who work in law enforcement around our state. We are truly appreciative for your service and your efforts to take care of us! Overall, this year's Convocation was a huge success!
While today marks the end of the Week of Respect, we know that RESPECT is something that is not saved for just one week. Rather, it is critical to be kind and respectful the whole year round. Thank you for everything you do to model this for your children.
**SPECIAL NOTE: Please see the important letter regarding the enterovirus on this week's Friday Folder.***
Have a wonderful weekend!
Mrs. Capes :)

We are collecting *NEW* socks, as part of the SOCKTOBER event that will help homeless people across the united states. Please send in *new* socks to support this initiative! We will collect from October 6th - October 31st.
"Every night in the United States an estimated 600,000 people live on the streets. This October, SoulPancake and Kid President want 2 million people to prove that even the smallest acts of love, like donating a pair of socks, can make a big difference in the lives of our neighbors who are homeless."
