Social Studies - History Lesson: Americans Long Ago
Life of a Pilgrim Child
This week we will read all about the life of a pilgrim child. We will read and discuss what pilgrim children ate, how they dressed, how they were expected to behave, in addition to their working, playing, and schooling.
Students will create a pilgrim craft and will make inferences based on their clothing.
These are a few topics we will discuss over the next two weeks
- When did the Mayflower reach Plymouth? (November 11, 1620)
- About how many people were on board the Mayflower? (102)
- How long was the journey from England? (66 days)
- How many men signed the Mayflower Compact? (41)
