Colts,
Next week we usher in the month of May and the beginning of the end of the school year. As exciting as May can be for our Colts it is definitely a very busy time of year preparing for exams and focusing on finishing the year off well.
This past week our PTA helped celebrate our staff for teacher appreciation which was well received and appreciated. Our students also had a full week with many of them taking trips off campus, like our choir program and also an AVID field trip to the University of Texas in Arlington. May is full of such trips and activities, which is why I encourage you to stay up to date with the "Upcoming Events" section in this weekly newsletter.
As we enjoy this three day weekend we can't help to remember last weekends Rachel's Challenge event that was a big success, with many Colts celebrating how we unite as a school district to spread kindness. On Wednesday I had the personal privilege to attend a luncheon for our Special Olympic Athletes, and I was filled with pride knowing that our students accomplished so much this school year. It is a great time to be a Colt! Have a great three day weekend.

Just save your receipts from ANY business in Colleyville that you shop in during April 2018 and drop them in the Colleyville Receipt Race box in across from Mrs. Edgell's office at Attendance.
The 3 schools that collect the most receipts (regardless of value) will be receive donations of $5,000, $3,000 or $1,000.
