See you all soon!

Bishop Rick Williams Sr and Pastor Denise Scott Williams

"It Makes No Sense" by Bishop Rick Williams Sr.

Scripture References: Proverbs 3:1-35 (KJV), Psalms 119:130 (ESV)

In the bible there are things that seemingly "Don't make any sense."

Examples:

a. Abraham told to go to a place hes never been before.

b. He was told to by God to sacrifice a son he had waited years to have.

c. God gave Joseph dreams and when he shared them he was thrown in pit and later thrown in jail.

d. Mary was a virgin. She had never known a man but yet she gave birth to Jesus.

A lot of things in the bible, "Don't make any sense!"

In our own lives today, some things "Don't make any sense!"

Examples:

a. Some of our relationships

b. Some have talents and dreams but family says, "That's of the devil!" So you ask God, "Why is this inside me?" "This doesnt make any sense!"

c. Why am I in Charlotte when all my family is in another state?

d. Why am I at THIS church when I prefer my teaching and worship in a different package? My place of worship, "Doesnt make any sense!"

When you are serving, "Sometimes your greatest gift, is your greatest limit."

Have you ever thought, "God why do you have me in this place?"

Points to ponder:

Is where you are lonely? Dry?

Do you despise your job?

Are you just sick of your job?

Have you wondered why God has you in certain relationships? God tells you to stay in a place but it just, "Doesnt make any sense!"

Why am I at this school? Why am I still alone? Why am I divorced AGAIN?

When things, "Don't make any sense," you may feel the following:

Acronym for S.E.N.S.E:

S- Makes you not SURE. You are not sure of what you should be doing.

S- You're not STEADFAST. One day you are quick to start your day, the next slow.

E- Often times it will EFFECT EVERYTHING. Your attendance etc.

E- Cause you to EMPATHIZE. Who else is going through this?

N- Cause you to say, " Don't tell me about yesterday, I'm hurting NOW. I need help now.

N- Sometimes you say, " I NEVER been through this before. I have never experienced this kind of hurt and pain."

S- You find yourself becoming SENSITIVE. Be careful how you talk to me, how you treat me.

S- Find yourself being SELFISH. "Aint nobody gotta do nothing for me."

S- Find yourself being SARCASTIC. "Hurt people, hurt people." "Be careful what you say, I might bite your head off."

E- You have no ENTHUSIASM. Enthuse- God within you. Don't want to worship.

E- You have no EXPLANATION. You cant explain what you are going through.

It makes no sense to us because we choose to do things differently than how God says to do it. It does not negate our responsibility to obey God.

1 Samuel 15: 22 "Obedience is better than sacrifice."

"YOU CAN NOT DO IT YOUR WAY!"

Sense means- preserve; feel; import

There are signs.

"You didn't heed warning."

In relationships things , "Don't make sense," because everything seems contrary.

Sense, receive by:

a. Sight- What you see

b. Hearing- What someone says

c. Smell- Immediate recall

d. Taste- Leaves bad taste in mouth

e. Touch- Don't touch me like that, doesnt feel good

"When things, "Don't make sense," it means, "YOU ARE IN A GOOD PLACE!"

"Its not supposed to make sense!"

The bible says:

" We walk by FAITH, not by SIGHT!"

" FAITH comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God!"

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."

"Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against thee."

"IF IT MAKES SENSE THAT MEANS YOU ARE NOT WALKING BY FAITH!"

"When things, "DON'T MAKE ANY SENSE," begin to praise and worship God!"

"Its a sweet aroma to his nostrils."

"Taste and see that the Lord is good!"

What a powerful and anointed message by Bishop Williams! The comfort and peace of Holy Spirit was evident in the place today. Lives were changed and many will never be the same again!

Do you want God to, "Make sense out of your nonsense?"

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and HE WILL direct your paths!"
