Have a wonderful weekend!
Open House for All LaPerche Students and their Families!
Additionally, our 5th grade students will be hosting their first fundraiser at Open House and will be selling ice cold water, assorted chips and "PAWS" !
What's a PAW you ask? It is a perfect way to send a positive and encouraging message to your child and the teachers and staff at LaPerche. For $1, you will receive a PAW on which you write a message. One of our fabulous fifth graders will then zip to that classroom and hang the PAW on the door. The teachers are gearing up for a big competition to see who earns the most PAWS so bring your positive praise and your dollar bills! All proceeds will benefit the 2016-2017 5th grade class!

Reading Stamina and Flexible Seating!
Every classroom is working on building stamina when reading. At LaPerche, we provide lots of opportunites for uninterrupted reading--reading helps students develop their vocabulary and imagination, and deepen their understanding of the world around them. We are happy to report that LaPerche kids simply love to READ!!
Flexible seating is an important part of developing that love for and stamina in reading and all subject areas. Throughout the classrooms are LaPerche you will see students working and reading in all types of settings. Providing flexible seating allows for more physical activity and movement and in turn students are more focused and engaged. Adults don't sit at one type of desk in one spot all day and we certainly don't expect our kids too either!
Where would you like to read? A Comfy Couch...
On A Yoga Ball or Mat...
Laying, Kneeling or in a Yoga Pose...
Who Doesn't Want to Read in a Tent?
Or in a Beach Chair?
Or When Relaxing With a Friend...
LaPerche Kids are Building their Stamina for Silent, Sustained Reading!
