Milnes Memo
September 30, 2022
Dear Milnes Families,
Looking forward to the new month and the many activities taking place at Milnes School including the Week of Respect, Diwali Celebration, and our Halloween Parade. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon on these exciting events.
Next week we will celebrate the Week of Respect with students engaging in activities and learning opportunities that highlight respect for self and others. Don't forget to take part in our Spirit Week (see flyer below for details)!
As a reminder, school is closed on Wednesday, October 5th in observance of Yom Kippur.
As the weather gets cooler, don't forget to send your child with appropriate clothing, such as sweatshirts or jackets, for outdoor recess.
Wishing you a wonderful month ahead filled with Fall fun!
Warmly,
Mrs. Stephanie Primavera
Principal, Milnes School

CogAT
In coming weeks, the CogAT Screener will be administered to any students in grade 1-4 who are new to the Fair Lawn School District. The CogAT Screener consists of verbal/picture analogies, number analogies, and figure matrices. Data gathered from this assessment will enable us to plan effective programs for our students and make decisions regarding academically talented programs. The screener takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
