Sheiko's 3rd Grade
Cloud Learning Newsletter- Week of 4/13/20
Our goal is to provide some updates and helpful tips.
Good News
Mrs. VanNostrand and her kids participated in an Easter egg hunt where they looked at neighbors' windows and houses for eggs. They even painted their front window with big eggs for everyone to see.
Sheiko Sharks Thank First Responders
Hi,
Remind your child/children to share posters they made tomorrow during class Zoom meetings or through email.
Below was in the parent update from Ms. James:
Create a poster with an affirming message to people on the frontline (doctors, nurses, grocery store workers, truck drivers, etc.). The poster can include you and your family members or pets. BE CREATIVE!!!
Parent Survey
Below is the link to the parent Cloud Learning Survey. Please take the survey as your feedback is extremely valuable to us. Below is the link to the survey.
See this week's Cloud Learning Agenda PDF at the bottom of this newsletter.
Daily Expectations
The 3rd grade team would like to remind everyone that when possible it is a good idea to make sure to continue to practice math and reading.
- At least 30 minutes of reading a day.
- Math practice on Xtramath, Freckle, Prodigy, and/or Khan Academy Mappers.
- Writing- we highly recommend a journal that the children can write in daily or weekly.
Epic! for Reading
Epic! is the site we will be using for reading. Please make sure you have accepted your child's teacher's invitation to create an account for use at home. It is 100% free and they no longer require a credit card for the trial.

Technology Issues
Please feel free to use the technology assistance request form with computer issues outside of questions about classwork.
