Morton Elementary School Updates

Morton Families,

Next Friday we will facilitate our Halloween celebration at Morton. The traditional costume parade will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, October 29. We would love to see our families attend! Students will change into their costumes at school before our parade. We are asking that you not include face painting, blood, or toy weapons with your child's costume.

Families that visit our school for the Halloween parade can line the sidewalk in front of the school. Students will travel down the sidewalk on Wood Drive. They will then make a short loop before completing their journey on the North side of our school. Students will then return to the school and re-enter through the main doors.

After the parade, students will return to their classroom to enjoy Halloween parties. Treats will be provided by the PTA. We have identified two volunteers to help facilitate each classroom party. Classroom parties are not open to the entire community this year. After classroom parties, students will be dismissed at 3:45 p.m.

I would also like to remind you that we have a family event planned for Saturday, October 23rd at the Hy Vee on 180th and Pacific Streets from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please come and join us for breakfast, friends, and family. 10% of sales will go directly to back to our school! We hope you can attend!

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to another great week at Morton!
