Alive at 25 - Graduated Driving Class
Alive at 25 - Empower your teen with confidence to handle the open road and return home safe! Tragically, the number one killer of teens is motor vehicle crashes. That is why the Kentucky State Police (KSP), Toyota and the National Safety Council (KSC) are joining forces with the high schools and local businesses across Kentucky to ensure that novice drivers survive their most dangerous driving years. Alive at 25 is a 4½-hour driver's awareness course designed by the National Safety Council for young drivers ages 16-24, which includes:
Defensive driving classroom curriculum
Gain awareness and develop strategies to keep safe on the road.
Decision-making and responsibility-taking
Learn through interactive media, workbook exercises, role-playing, and class discussions.
Henderson County High School will offer Alive at 25 on January 15, 2019 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Take time to grab a snack before you come. It will last the whole 4 hours.
This class counts as your graduated license class required by the state of Kentucky.
To participate in this class you do need a driver’s permit.

Families help support Attendance during Winter Months
Some Attendance Tips -
1. This is the time of year when winter weather and children’s illnesses can take a toll on school attendance. But it’s important to get your children to school every day possible
2. Absences, even if they are excused, can add up to academic trouble. This is as true in kindergarten as it is in high school.
3. If your children are sick, talk to your doctor or the school nurse to see whether they are too sick for school.
4. Do what you can to keep your children healthy. Dress them warmly for the cold weather and make sure they’ve got hats and gloves. Encourage them to wash their hands regularly, and send them to school with a bottle of hand sanitizer.
5. Help your child learn to persevere. Today, he learns to overcome a snowdrift. In the future, he will have the grit to triumph over even greater obstacles to his dreams.
Earbud Cell Phone Reminder
