Love reading? Interested in looking at mental health through the lens of literature?
Look no further! DHS is offering a staff book study beginning in January to look at tackling mental health issues with teens through YA literature. The idea was brought to life through a School Library Journal article about the topic, which I will share with you. We will meet the first Friday morning of each month (unless that Friday falls during a break!), beginning on January 8!

Tackling Mental Health through YA Lit
Our first meeting will take place on January 8! We are scheduled to meet from 7:30 - 8:30. In the past we have had these meetings off campus at a restaurant or coffee shop to remove ourselves from our everyday atmosphere. Tentatively we are thinking we will meet at Kaldi's Coffee. Let me know if you have any questions!
