From the desk of the principal

The character education word of the month is INTEGRITY.

STUDENT: Nadia Sarhan

Nadia is a natural leader in the classroom and is quick to assist me in organization tasks. She's a role model for my other scholars, as she takes her work seriously and with humor.

STUDENT: Benjamin Hambro

Ben continues to make the Fine and Performing Arts Department proud year after year. His accomplishments this year so far include principal chair in the trumpet section in the All-South Jersey Wind Ensemble, 4th in the entire state for all State Wind Ensemble, and was recently just accepted into the All-Eastern Band taking place in Pittsburgh, PA this April. He will also be participating in the All-State Orchestra this coming November. Within the Wind Ensemble classroom here at EHTHS, he is a leader and a player that I can always count on to have all his materials and have all of his music mastered. Ben is destined for musical greatness, that is for sure!

Friday Starts Strong with the Winter Pep Rally...

The student body had a blast at the winter pep rally which started with a combination Dizzy Izzy/Tic-Tac-Toe game where contestants had to spin around multiple times then run to center court to place a marker on the large board. Representatives from each of our winter teams competed as well as new Assistant Principals Mrs. Domena and Mrs. Cunningham. Following tic-tac-toe was the main event of the Faculty-Student Basketball game. The ladies took the court for quarters 1 & 3 while the men competed in the 2 & 4th quarters. There was a lot of skill and camaraderie on display with the faculty taking the win keeping their streak alive. Halftime entertainment was provided by our newly crowned Mr. EHT 2019 Ethan Meisenhelter who performed with a backup arrangement of his fellow contestants.

...and Ends at 2 a.m with Volleyball-A-Thon!

From Mrs. Phillips:

The 18th Annual Volleyball-a-thon was a huge success! We raised money for the New Jersey District of Key Club's district project: Ending Hunger in New Jersey! Our donation will go directly to the Atlantic County Food Bank. The runner up was "Tridente Pack," led by high school teacher Mr. Tridente, and first place went to "Grand Slam," a team made up mostly of alumni. It was great to see teams made up of faculty from all over the district, alumni, and students alike come together for this great cause!
