We are excited to announce Summer School Pilots for 2013 will be located:

Curriculum

Theme - Africa

With the help of District Elementary Instructional Coaches and LMC Specialists, we will conduct 1.5 days of professional development to prepare our teachers. These teaches will engage in flipped content and will receive their equipment on the dates listed above.


We will also engage in a full day of PD around the 5th grade summer school theme "Africa". The pilot students will engage in a Problem Based Learning environment.


All pilot instructors PD will be held Thursday, May 23 at DAC Board Room A

Online Spanish Opportunity

Students can now enroll...

This is a six-week course that will begin after summer school starts and ends in July. Megan Walker, current LPS Spanish teacher, will be facilitating Rosetta Stone with approximately 50 online students grades 3-5. She will have contact with each child/family once per week for support.


Information will be going home in Friday folders and applications are due online by:


Your student will have the opportunity to learn basic Spanishconversational skills, including greetings and introductions, simple questions and answers, shopping and much more!
