Parent Voice + Student Voice+ Teacher Voice = Success
Dear Parents/Guardians,
District 113A parents/guardians are invited to participate in the statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. The survey gathers data related to five indicators that can predict important student outcomes, including improved attendance and larger test score gains. These five indicators that affect and predict school success are:
Effective Leaders
Collaborative Teachers
Involved Families
Supportive Environments
Ambitious Instruction
Our goal is to have at least 30% of our parents to complete this survey.
Current Status is 13%
The Illinois 5Essentials Survey will be open through January 31st, 2018. To take the survey please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and select the parent survey to begin. Parents may skip any questions they do not wish to answer, however, they must click Submit Survey at the end in order for their responses to be counted toward their school’s response rate and included in the parent report.
Thank you for your support.

Academic Lunch
To support students who may need extra time and support to complete homework and to encourage homework completion, OQMS will be implementing academic lunches for students who have not completed homework. Students will be able to complete the homework missed in a timely fashion and receive the support he or she may need by a certified staff member. Also, test re-takes will be provided during academic lunch. This program will begin in late January.
