Dress Code Reminders
Also, students older than our Star is born level (ages 2.5-5) may not wear a leotard with an attached skirt. It should be at the discretion of the teacher if you may wear a coverup.
In addition, all ballet students are required to wear their hair in a bun. A ballet bun requires a hair elastic, and bobby pins. A hairnet may be needed for shorter or layered hair to keep the bun secure.
These guidelines ensure success in the classroom. Students can become very distracted by hair in their face and part of the discipline is a clean line and esthetic.
I encourage students ages 8 and up to begin doing their own hair and packing their own dance bag.
