Happy Sunday Pirate Families!
Thank you to Mrs. Mesko, Ms. Haithcock and our Roots & Shoots service club for painting our outdoor classroom board and returning the rocks to our fossil pit. Our campus is even more beautiful thanks to you! Picture packets went home with all students on Friday. Please select the package you are interested in, return the payment, and keep the pictures you purchased. If you do not purchase the pictures, please return them by this Friday, Oct. 25th. If pictures are not returned, you will be billed for this, so please check book bags NOW;) The grading period will be ending soon , please make sure that if you have a 3rd-5th grade that you are checking their grades frequently in PowerSchool to make sure that they are staying on top of their assignments. Late work is penalized, so it is imperative grades are checked frequently. If you haven't signed up for Parent Portal for PowerSchool, no worries, all 3rd-5th graders have been taught how to monitor their grades. Have your child show you-their grades are their responsibility:) We hope you all can join us Tuesday night for our 3rd grade concert and art show starting at 6 pm. Tuesday is also Pizza Hut spirit night, so grab some Pizza before or after the concert. On Thursday our SBES track & field team will compete against Sandridge & Queen's Creek. Go gettem' Pirates! Friday is the SBHS Homecoming Football game. I hope you to see you there cheering on the the mighty Pirates! Here's a update from our PTO: 1.Papa John’s profit for September was $108.86 2. For Spring Carnival all grade levels will be asked to donate items. We would like to take advantage of the Halloween right now so we are asking Kindergarten and 1st grade to donate colored hair spray and small prize bucket toys. Those items can be dropped off at the front desk ASAP. 3. Our pumpkins are up in the front windows to track our Box Top collection. The deadline for turning Box Tops in for fall collection is Oct. 28th. The class that collects the most will win a dance party! If you have digital receipts, you can go back and assign them to your child's teacher. If you need help with Box Tops, please reach out to Jessica Morton, jchomeplace2@gmail.com.
