A Message from the Principal

October 25, 2021

Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,

Big picture
Our HFCC Fall Festival was a great success! There was a sense of joyful community celebration on Sunday afternoon at our Fall Fest. My thanks go out to all of our parent, teacher, and parishioner volunteers who made Sunday a memorable event. Dads’ Club and the Knights of Columbus did a great job keeping us full of great food and drink, the room parents made all the booths come alive for family fun, and the HFCS Band, Nolan’s Ballet de Folklorico, and our great DJs kept us all moving and dancing. Special thanks go to Mrs. Sara Hiett and Mrs. Kim Nappier-Pierce for co-chairing our “I am the Vine, you are the branches” 2021 Fall Festival.

Great news! We have received 30 new iPads and 30 new laptops through a government grant! We were able to apply for COVID-19 related government grant money last year with the possibility of receiving more funding this year.

The Diocesan schools are moving away from the ACT Aspire national assessments and returning to the IOWA national assessments. We will conduct our IOWA summative assessments this spring.

Our full-time faculty members will be attending the How to Start a Nature Studies Program workshop at Nolan this Tuesday afternoon from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. I will keep you informed on what we learn and how we are going to implement our HFCS Nature Studies Program in the future.

We will celebrate All Saints Day Mass at 8:15am next Monday, November 1, please join us, many of our students will be dressed as saints!

Have a blessed week,

Ann Walters

Principal
