A Message from Our Principal
A teacher who inspires a student changes the course of a life and in infinite ripples, untold other lives. The classroom is the incubator of the future. Teachers help us realize the dreams we have for our children and enable our children to shape the world they will inherit.
Thank you,
Carla
Happy New Year!
Access Testing
This month will be very busy with FAST screenings and ACCESS testing. Martha and Dee will be doing FAST screenings on the following dates: 1/9; 1/10; 1/11; 1/12; & 1/16. If they have a window of time in between screenings, they will reach out to your grade level, so we can pull for regular ESOL instruction.
Wednesday, January 17 will be a normal ESOL day. We will practice the ACCESS platform with the students during their normal ESOL class time.
This ACCESS calendar is a fluid document and will change many times before testing is over due to illnesses, new enrollees, etc. Please check the calendar often so you are aware of any changes. We have tried to build in some days for regular instruction, so we do not have such a long time period of not serving the ESOL students. Thanks for your patience during testing.

Exciting Mindset News!
NEW: Unity Procedure
To make it easier to submit technology work order tickets, the district has moved to a new Unity system. Please refer to the following directions and video on how to access and use the system:
· Written Directions on How to Access and Submit a Unity Ticket
· Video Directions on How to Access and Submit a Unity Ticket
Use Unity when experiencing individual issues with:
· hardware in the classroom, office, or lab
· software on devices
· communication services (phone, intercom)
Issues that affect the entire school or district are handled by tech services or reported by the school ITS and should not be submitted in Unity.
Please note: With the new system, teachers need to be the ones submitting their tickets instead of ITS submitting for them. This is so that the techs can communicate directly with the user instead of having the ITS tracking down the user.
Action Items:
Use the attached directions to submit unity tickets for technical issues.
