Partnering with parents is our favorite!

"At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents."

Jane D. Hull

The Education Service Center - Region 20 in San Antonio offers numerous parenting resources. You can participate in webinars, attend workshops in person, or simply subscribe to their weekly newsletters. Just click on the link below:

Here are a few of the upcoming FREE Parent Trainings in February:

  • Bullying: Tips for Parents
  • Autism 101
  • Pathways to Adulthood
  • Six Easy Ways to Support Your Child's Literacy Development, Grades 6-12
  • Let's Move Beyond the Parent Survey!

Our Spikes Library page on the district's website is just a click away once you select our school! The links give you access to books in print, digital books, audio books, and several awesome online resources for research.

Students can use the images and articles from newspapers, magazines, encyclopedias, as well as primary source documents. There are video and audio clips to enhance their understanding. The text can be translated and adjusted for their own personal learning needs. Most of these resources offer text-to-speech, a dictionary, highlighting, and many other amazing online tools.

All of these resources include citations and are free from copyright violation. But most importantly, the information is reliable, accurate, and updated daily...the perfect place to avoid FAKE NEWS.

Use the online catalog 24/7 to search our collection of more than 12,000 books including electronic books that can be read anytime on your device. (Students will need to use their Skyward login to open eBooks.)
