Attention Phase 3 LEAs
Since the 2017-18 school year is the "planning year" for Phase 3's, our team is offering virtual individual sessions for your LEA to prepare for your upcoming submission on November 30, 2018. One of our team members can meet virtually with members of your planning committee at a mutually agreed upon time(s), if you desire this assistance. We will provide assistance with the Comprehensive Planning process, web application, and/or requirements. Our assistance will be customized in order to meet your needs.

ESSA State Plan - Approved!
The U.S. Department of Education had approved Pennsylvania’s ESSA Consolidated State Plan as revised. Approval of Pennsylvania’s Consolidated State Plan is a significant moment for public education in Pennsylvania. The plan is shaped by the guiding principles of transparency, equity, and innovation, and underscores the commonwealth’s commitment to creating more balanced and comprehensive school progress measures, reducing testing time, and supporting Pennsylvania’s educators and school leaders.
Be sure to take a look at the accountability pieces mentioned within the plan to guide your Comprehensive planning decisions.
Reminder: Phase 1 School Districts - Special Education Plan
Phase 1 School Districts will be required to update their Program Profile (within their Special Education Plan) and check a box that will indicate submission. Training regarding the Comprehensive Planning Web Application and directions for Phase 1 School Districts was conducted on November 14, 2017. This session focused on submitting an updated Program Profile and selecting an affirmation checkbox.

Phase 3 School Districts - Special Education Plans due May 1, 2018
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) is responsible for ensuring that all special education programs in schools are appropriate and effective. To do this, school districts must submit a Special Education Plan every three years to PDE as required under 22 PA Code 14.104.
School districts in Phase 3 will submit their full plans by May 1, 2018, via the Comprehensive Planning Web Application. Training regarding the Comprehensive Planning Web Application was held in November of 2016.

Comprehensive Planning Office Hours for 2017-2018
Have specific questions regarding your Comprehensive Plan, School Improvement Plan, Title I Schoolwide Plan or Charter Annual Report?
Join me during CP Office Hours in 2017-2018!
The office hours will be held in a virtual format so participants may come and go anytime between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm on designated days. These online sessions will be offered for anyone who may have questions regarding content, action planning, data analysis, etc.
