A Word from the Principal

Thank you all for another fabulous week. Thank you for your flexibility and adaptability this week with the many celebrations, ceremonies, and programs that we hosted. This is a reminder that we will have our faculty end of the year luncheon on Wednesday, May 31st after students are dismissed. Bring your appetite as we fellowship and connect as a faculty. We are looking forward to a great close to a great school year. It would not be possible without you!

Techie of the Week

This week's Techie of the Week is Mrs. Shalonya Knotts Holiday!!!!

Mrs. K-Day took the leap and is so happy that she did. Many of us can relate to the moment when you run into a friend and they ask about your family and you go to find that picture and the dreaded swipe happens. School photos after school photos after school photos scroll by and you can't find a picture of your own family.

Mrs. K-Day was actually taking photos, emailing them to herself, and then uploading to her blog until....

She added the Flickr App to her phone, linked her flickr account to a page titled gallery on her webpage/blog and now takes her pictures on her phone by clicking flickr and take photo on her app. All of her photos automatically post to her blog by clicking post after taking the photo, and she can keep her school photos seperate from her personal ones and not have to pay for that awful extra storage space that APPLE keeps asking her to buy.

Wish her luck as she now cleans out all of the old photos in her phone gallery from her past. Ask her about how she loves this free app!

Checkout her Gallery!

Textbook Reminder

It is that time again. Time to get our textbooks ready for check-in. Yippee!

-Please use the list Mrs. Murray put into your mailboxes this week to document any missing books.

-If all of your books are in and accounted for, please indicate that.

-This will help us tremendously as we prep for our final check out on June 2nd.

-Grades 3-5, please have this form completed by Friday, May 19th.

-Grades 1-2, please complete as soon as possible.

-Please don’t collect books yet. This is just a pre-check so we can have a smooth check-in later this month.

-If you have books in your room that were assigned to a student who has moved, please bring them to my office so I can get them checked-in and out of the way.

Thank you so much for your assistance with this!
