School violence is increasing worldwide, and no country is immune to its effects. Canadian schools need
to increase security in order to ensure the continued safety of both students and staff. In the face of
twenty-first-century security threats, Canada’s current school safety protocols are outdated and
ineffective.
eg. Eight teenage girls at a high school in London, Ont., have been arrested in connection with a bullying incident involving another student.The girls were arrested after it was revealed that a student at London South Collegiate Institute was the target of physical, emotional and cyber bullying.
