Director's Message
Greetings AISM Families,
November has always been a special time of the year for me. If you are an American and celebrate Thanksgiving or if you are like some folk that celebrate the holiday, by referring to it as 'Friendsgiving' it still means a time to reflect and be thankful. Liberia also celebrates Thanksgiving which falls on November 5th this year. There is always something to be grateful for, even in these most challenging of times. I am grateful that AISM students are returning to campus on November 4th! I am grateful for the staff and faculty that have been working diligently to ensure the campus is safe, clean, and prepared for students' return.
As we return to campus, we have tried to anticipate some questions that families may have. Please look below at the FAQs section. Surely, other questions and obstacles will present themselves; as we endeavor to keep everyone healthy and safe on campus. Working together we will persevere. Its hard to believe November 13th, is the end of Trimester 1, it is amazing how fast time flies! A third of the school year has already passed. The good news is we will have a fresh start for the 2nd trimester with students and teachers on campus.
There are some new faces and a new space on campus:
Sajida Moussa - Art Teacher Grades 4-9
Aicha Kaea - Art Teacher Pre K - 3
The new space for Upper School students is designed to give them a place to gather. I am told by (alumni) Mr. Marwan Eid that this area was originally donated by the senior class of 1980. We will allow our Upper School students to rename the new space.
Stay safe and healthy,
Dr. Bobbi
